Abstract
:

This symposium will be funded by IBRO and is being organised to bring together 5 young female neuroscientists from different parts of Africa who are at the start of their career, at the end of their thesis or post-doctorate to present their research work, which is being developed in their laboratory in Africa. This symposium encourages research carried out by women in a context where scientific research is dominated by men. The symposium will include a speaker representing North Africa (Morocco), a speaker representing South Africa (RSA), a speaker representing East Africa (Kenya),
a speaker representing West Africa (Nigeria) and finally a speaker representing Central Africa (Cameroon). The symposium is proposed and will be coordinated by Professor Nouria Lakhdar-GHazal (Chair of the African Centre for Advanced Training in Neuroscience).
