Abstract
:

The World Women in Neuroscience (WWN) has organized a Mentoring Circle for SONA 2025 where we will explore "The Art of Building a Career in Neuroscience". Five speakers will present short talks dealing with effective planning of a career and discuss important topics:
1. How to be prepared,
2. How to be adaptable,
3. How to be reflective,
4. How to be communicative,
5. How to be collaborative.
We will discuss each topic in detail and will draw on concrete experiences and examples to help the attendees embrace these important principles in any Scientific career. There will also be a 40-minute discussion at each of the tables with mentors to guide a focused discussion on a variety of topics regarding the themes presented and then we will have a 10 min Q&A where we will give the opportunity for the attendees to ask questions and get answers from the speakers or the mentors. We will collect
and present each table's "Pearls of Wisdom", take home tools to close the session.
WWN invites all SONA members to participate in this very lively discussion. We have confirmed 15 SONA-WWN outstanding professional neuroscientist mentors to lead the table discussions.
