Call of IBRO travel grant for SONA 2025
Candidature Application
Strict Deadline: November 25th at midnight Morocco time

IBRO travel support for young PhD students and PostDoc to attend the SONA 2025 conference in Marrakech, Morocco will be between 400 Euros (North Africa applicants) and up to 1000 Euros (Sub Sahara Applicants). The Travel assistance will be in the form of reimbursement of travel tickets.

Travel assistance will be given to Moroccan doctoral students in the form of reimbursement of their travel tickets (Train and buses).

Reimbursement will only be issued upon presentation of proof of SONA membership for 2025 and payment of the conference registration fee.

General criteria

  • Abstracts should be submitted only via the online submission system
  • Abstracts must be written in the English language – abstracts submitted in other languages will not be accepted.
  • Once submitted abstracts cannot be updated with new data.
  • An e-mail address is compulsory in order to receive information about the submitted abstract.
  • The author/s should indicate the preferred presentation format (oral or poster) of the submitted abstract. However, the Scientific Committee will decide on the final presentation format.
Abstract format and contents

  • It is essential to pay attention to correct spelling and punctuation and follow the guidelines regarding format and style.
  • The submitted abstract should be written in sentence case, not in capital or lower case, not bolded.
  • The submitted abstract must include the following information:

        - AUTHORS: Full names and surnames of all authors
        - AFFILIATION: Institutions only and country
        - TITLE: 30 words maximum
        - CONTENTS: Background and objectives; Methods; Results; Discussion
        - Up to 5 keywords

NB: All required documents mentioned must be sent to: sona.conference2025@gmail.com
The lack of one of the required documents leads to the cancellation of the application.
The deadline is November 25th at midnight Morocco time. the selection results will be announced on December 10, 2024
