Guidelines
for Submission and General Recommendations
The call
for symposia is a critical step in this process, inviting the
scientific
community to present innovative concepts that will advance brain
research.
The
SONA2025 Committee encourages global scientists to submit proposals
highlighting novel results and discoveries in brain and central nervous
system
research.
The
number of symposia is limited to 32, each lasting 2 hours. Therefore,
the
Program Committee will give priority to proposals of outstanding
Scientific
interest, speaker achievements, ability to engage a multidisciplinary
audience,
and diversity.
Proposals
should aim for balance and representation of speakers concerning
gender,
ethnicity, geographical distribution, institutional affiliation
‘scientific
seniority’, scientific approach, and field of work. Preference will be
given to
proposals with diverse geographical representation of speakers.
Proposals with
speakers from only one country will not be accepted. In addition,
Proposals
that aim for diverse representation concerning gender identity are
strongly
encouraged.
Symposia
requires at least 4 speakers
and 1-2 chairpersons. It is recommended that no
more than 1 chairperson also be one of the 4 speakers. Junior are
encouraged to
be involved in the proposals. However, all speakers should be
experienced in
presenting their research to a broad multidisciplinary audience.
Proposal
Submission
Proposals
must be submitted and completed online between 1 May and 1 September
2024 to be
considered.
Accepted
proposals will be notified via email by the Program Committee. The
proposals
will be definitely accepted once the organizers confirmed their
participation.
