☛The Call of IBRO travel Grant for SONA 2025 (Strict deadline November 25, 2024)

SONA 2025 is pleased to invite applications for IBRO travel support for young PhD students and PostDoc to attend the SONA 2025 conference in Marrakech, Morocco.
Travel assistance will be between 400 Euros (North Africa applicants) and up to 1000 Euros (Sub Sahara Applicants). The Travel assistance will be in the form of reimbursement of travel tickets.
Travel assistance will be given to Moroccan doctoral students in the form of reimbursement of their travel tickets (Train and buses).

Eligible candidate must:
√ be enrolled in doctoral studies and be sufficiently advanced in their research work to be able to present a poster or oral communication at the conference or in PostDoc position in Africa laboratory.
√ not have any regular financial income
√ reimbursement will only be issued upon presentation of proof of SONA membership for 2025 and payment of the conference registration fee.

The application file must contain:
√ a letter stating the reasons for the request
√ proof of enrolment in a doctoral programme
√ a letter of recommendation from the scientific director
√ a short CV
√ a copy of air ticket reservation
√ an abstract including: title, authors, affiliation and text of no more than 300 words

The deadline is November 25th at midnight Morocco time. the selection results will be announced on December 10, 2024

☛The Call of MNS Grant for SONA 2025 (deadline November 30, 2024)

The Mediterranean Neuroscience Society (MNS) invites young MNS members to apply for travel awards to attend and give an oral or poster presentation at the SONA (Society of Neuroscientists of Africa) conference in Marrakech, Morocco, from April 17th to 20th 2025. Each awardee will receive the amount of 500 euros.
Conditions
Applicants can be young MNS members who have paid their membership fees in 2024, with the status of master student, PhD student, post doc or early career researcher who received his/her PhD no more than 5 years ago.
Applicant should have an acceptation for an oral or poster presentation at the SONA (For submitting an abstract to SONA Please visit the website of the conference: https://sona2025.uca.ma/Abstract_Submission.php). Deadline for Abstract submission to the SONA is October 31, 2024.
The application for MNS award should be performed independently. Once you receive the confirmation of acceptance for oral or poster presentation from SONA conference, send your application for the MNS award to president@medneuroscisociety.org including a short CV, a letter of recommendation from a supervisor or a co-supervisor or a chief, such as a PhD supervisor or head of the school/department/laboratory, the letter of acceptance from SONA and the submitted abstract. Applications deadline for young MNS awards submission: 30th November, 2024.

MNS Visibility: The awarded member acknowledge that will take 1 minute at the beginning of his/her presentation to present and Promote MNS. The first diapositive of the presentation or the poster should include the Logo of MNS indicating that the young presenter was awarded by a travel award from MNS. Details will be provided after the selection process.
Award:
The award of 500 euros will be sent to the recipient after the conference, provided that is an active MNS member and has proof of attendance/presentation at SONA conference.
